Audemars Piguet 37mm Selfwinding Royal Oak - Pink Gold An On-the-Wrist Review By Ping Tsai When one thinks of iconic watches that are still on the market today, a short list of candidates comes to mind. These are watches that have been well sought after t...
It's SOOOOOOOOO beautiful and so photogenic. I loved taking pics of my ex-Montoya rose gold and had a blast taking these Royal Oak rose gold. Anyways, thanks for the great review Ping. I really like the polished inner bezel because it's not something I'm ...
Thanks for reviewing the history of the Royal Oak. I agree it is a great release for AP to have this 37mm Royal Oak. IMO the criticism of the discontinuation of the 15300 is not so much that it forces a potential buyer up in price on the jumbo or in size ...
...for your comments and explanation. Now I understand better :) I also think that the 15300 seemed to be more versatile and more of an everyday watch that people could really enjoy. The Jumbo seems more specialized, more of a collectors item. Thanks agai...
of a beautiful watch, if my wife had a bigger wrist this AP would definitely be on my cards as a bithday present in rose gold of course, sport/chic/elegant. Kind regards, Francois
Thanks for the reading and the fantastic pics, you've captured all its beauty. For me, this is the most beautiful and balanced Royal Oak from the current collection. Love it. The 15400 is a mess, specially the white dial version, IMHO. Thanks for sharing....
...that this Royal Oak is one of the nicest ones. It has beautiful proportions. I have not seen the 15400 in person so I can't comment but just out of curiosity, what do you not like about it?
The lack of balance. I guess AP has done it because of the market demands, but from what I see it's similar to what happened with the Rolex Explorer I in 39 mm. The 36 mm is, to me, one of the most balanced watches in the world in terms of proportions, an...
LOL...that is actually a shot of Anthony's wrist. I thought it looked better on a man's wrist. The lugs stuck out too much on my wrist. Thank you for your compliments!
when its so well done, both writing and imaging! I have to admit that I have not seen this watch yet. Amazing what a different mix of colours (red gold, silver dial) and different finishings (you mention the inner bezel) can do with a watch. Its clearly a...
For your kind words and comments. I enjoyed learning about the history of AP and the Royal Oak and writing this review a great deal. Glad that you enjoyed it. Thanks again!
The history of the AP Royal Oak is truly incredible; the original first Sports Watch from the Swiss Big Three. Always loved the Royal Oak, the combination of a restrained amount of polished surfaces and large amount of brushed surfaces makes this watch so...
....for your great comments as always. What an excellent idea to try it with a white strap! Definitely would make the watch more feminine. Now if only it would fit me better, lol. Thanks again!
Black Dial 37mm only comes with the gold case, according to the AP's site. How I wish the 37mm steel model comes with the iconic blue dial. Then it will be an easy sell to me!
I don't know which one I prefer... ... Both? ;) Seriously, on your wrist, this RO has its place, and in a beautiful way. Thank you so much for such a delectable reading. Best, Nicolas
I want you to know that many have contacted me privately (email, tel-con) to tell me what a great article this was, as well as enticing pictures! So much so, several are getting AP RG models for christmas presents for family and friends! :-) Thanks, TM
