An old love of mine: Royal Oak City Of Sails Chronograph, Steel.

Jul 03, 2019,11:02 AM

One which I liked a lot, and which I owned for some years, before trading it for my current Royal Oak 5402.

A summer picture, for the souvenir, taken with a Leica D Lux 3, in 2008.

Best,

Nicolas

I used to own one. I loved it but I had to let it go as the folding clasp was not quite comfortable... Sometimes I regret it.... Cheers

Easy fix.

Reverse the clasp and use a short strap, makes it more comfortable.

30th anniversary with nice engraving on the caseback, but ...

Very nice version of the RO Chronograph.

I like it very much, I think it was the first RO that came with a rubber strap, wasn't it? The first City Of Sails will always have a special place in my mind, I was deeply in love with it. Vte

My pleasure, Fx. [nt]

The 39mm ROC had some wonderful limited editions. This City of Sails always comes to mind for me.

And a good chronograph movement inside, even if the power reserve is not huge. Meant to be a daily workhorse.
