A very beautiful timepiece.

I must admit it is an object of lust even if I'm normally not inclined toward perpetual calendar watches or blue dials. This one, however, brings the bell.

Thank you for the review.

Hands on review of the Audemars Piguet Automatic Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin 26586IP

We could guess it, the prototype RD#2 presented during the SIHH 2018 was not going to remain without continuation and it is in all logic that the final and marketed version was presented a year later. It was certainly not a small matter because there is a...

Great review...

thank you. I agree about the power-reserve and the bezel. I am guessing (I hope) that the bezel may be replaced during service. Not cheap but at this price point I doubt owners would be too worried. Although I don't see any reason why the bezel cannot be ...

I am waiting for the day to blow my rainy day savings...

On a full ceramic 15202!!!! 40 year wait list?

I sense a new ad campaign: You never really buy an AP,

You merely get on the waiting list so your children can! :P

LOL - phenomenal!

Let’s see how Patek responds to that!

Wow... That is funny... [nt]

The calmed dial is mesmerizing and practical (= legible), too. I have been searching for the „right“ PC for quite a period now and not many dials have proven to be really legible which always stops my first enthusiasm. For me the PR of 40 hours isn‘t a bi...

The movement seems a tad small from the photo, but just think what they could do with this in a time-only dress watch : )

I want one.

Thank you for a great review!

Everything you say makes sense. But to be honest, this kind of watchmaking is not my cup of tea. It is very challenging to make such uber thin perpetual, but that is all it is doing - making an already thin and elegant watch thinner. To my taste It is an ...

Thank you for your very nice review.

Even though i prefer the old version of the dial, this is imo the hottest watch in the world right now. Its so over-luxury, it doesnt matter how short the power reserve actually is. The sad thing is that you likely have to buy boring AP pieces (non ROs) t...

Thanks for the review, FX.

I like the realistic moon and the slim design. Not sure about the dial layout. Vte

AP and PP don't develop a tungsten carbide bezel that would NEVER scratch. They would need to be diamond-brushed, but having a RO or Nautilus where the bezel never scratched would be SUCH a PLUS, rather than having to go back for a $2k refinish every few ...

You are so right... I own a few RADO's made from T-C and it really is scratch proof. And yes, the brushed finish may be the real challenge.

The one downside I can testify to is the weight. T-C is very heavy. All the best... HEO.

This is a stunning watch, and the platinum bezel is a real cherry for me.

I can deal with the hairlines. I would not change it out on this model. Thanks for your insight, Fx!
