1) I defended AP quite well over on TRF and you ignored me, you monster 😹
2) No one really cares in a professional capacity about some dumb idea of a holy trinity. Seriously.
3) AP's bottom line has gone way up during the current CEO's tenure, so if he goes, likely he wants to leave.

I'd like to see Michael Friedman get a shot.

That's assuming he would even want the stress of the role, but what a shock it would be to see an American running one of the holy trio. He certainly has a better command of the brand, its history, and its customer than an external recruit would. Best, Ti...

Could be due to AP no longer being part of the Holy Trinity

i swear virtually no one really defended AP remaining on the Modern Holy Trinity list. Truly do hope they can regain the level expected to be considered for such honors.

Am glad to hear the bottom line has gone up.

And yes good points them all. Perhaps the AP CEO is seeking other opportunities. As crazy as things are right now, let's also give thanks that the industry is doing the best it ever has for as long as I can recall. Maybe he's going to Ulysse Nardin?

Might not necessarily be seeking a new opportunity. I hear there's The Great Resignation--and "lying flat"--happening these crazy days (he does behave young!)

You do raise an interesting prospect, that he's doing a Kern. In light of the, er, disposal, maybe the entity can be named "GPUN Ulysse Nardin Girard-Perregaux" <-- a statement of intent, to become like a similarly 'name-styled' conglomerate 😁

Haha πŸ˜‚ what? Too funny πŸ˜‚

I missed that thread! I come to the defence of AP belatedly! Definitely Trinity β€œworthy” -to borrow from Seinfeld πŸ˜‚

Niiiice :)

If that’s true they should get someone who can deliver a new iconic model that is also a commercial smash hit.

Current CEO - while certainly good - is one of the most unpleasant people I could ever imagine working with.
