Best, V. ...

Steel for me. For some reason, I still hold hope for the WG.

 By: MichaelC : March 29th, 2020-09:26
The salmon dial is spectacular. I should have locked up a steel Salmon Jubilee years ago but never did... ...

I want one!

 By: patrick_y : March 29th, 2020-09:54
Beautiful! And I like how the date disc matches the dial color. That's why I went with the 5712/1A Patek Philippe over the 5711/1A. But I haven't gotten around to procuring one of these beautiful 15202s!

Indeed the matching date wheel is a big plus and started with the newer 15202ST dials with the AP at 6. I think it was around 2012 when AP made the change

 By: holdemchamp1225 : March 29th, 2020-10:25
You should definitely add a 15202ST to your collection Patrick as I find it a modern icon with real history tracing back to the original 5402. As you know, I have many Nautilus watches as well but cannot say the same thing since Patek changed the case pro...

The problem now is finding one!

 By: patrick_y : March 29th, 2020-10:40
Finding an AP 15202 is starting to become quite difficult! I'm not a precious metals kind of guy neither, so I'm not that keen on acquiring a gold version. I'll just have to wait patiently.

I agree, it is getting more difficult to get a new 15202ST directly from a boutique or AD but it can still be done with some patience...

 By: holdemchamp1225 : March 29th, 2020-10:47
As for the new salmon dial white gold 15202 that Michael and I would like, well that is near impossible πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

I saw that one at SIHH, it is very nice indeed. I just want the normal one!

 By: patrick_y : March 29th, 2020-12:17
I have tried on the yellow gold and the rose gold ones too, which are more readily available. They're very nice and I would no doubt enjoy them very much, but I still prefer the steel one.

I like the IP with the polished tungsten. But when I saw it at SIHH, I knew it would be impossible to get.

 By: patrick_y : March 29th, 2020-15:07
Several owners are here on WatchProSite though, amazingly!

Actually the polished links and bezel on the IP is made in platinum, not tungsten Patrick...

 By: holdemchamp1225 : March 29th, 2020-15:21
and yes I know there are a few members here that have or had this model. I have 3 personal friends who also have the IP. It is really a great watch and the contrast between the platinum and titanium makes for a very cool look as well as the gradient blue ...

Oops! I knew that! Thanks for correcting me!

 By: patrick_y : March 29th, 2020-16:09
Yes, I do like that dial. But I like the green in the standard dial as well. I've got a car painted in "black opal" paint that has a bit of blue and green in it that reminds me of the standard 15202 dial.

Steel with some whiskers 😸

But absolutely love it! I love the way the light changes it’s dial. And before anyone mentions it, I have not set the date - it’s been lying in my safe ...

Looks great πŸ‘ [nt]

The slimmer profile versus the Chrono seems to fit my thin wrist better. Enjoy yours in good health!
