Put me squarely in the camp of "I love this watch!" ...

Looks great, Michael.

Diameter 42 mm, right? Looking at how deep the date sits, it still seems to be a sandwich movement. Best, Volker

Yes, 42mm

Caliber on this one is the current 3126/3840.

Cheers! [nt]

Good idea from AP

Is it exactly the same model? Especially the dial? If not, do you have a side by side shot to spot the differences? Best wishes Alkiro

Very close. A few differences that I can quickly discern: blue colored date; ceramic crown and pushers; dial seems a bit more blue than blue-gray.

Different movement, of course. The original ROO was a winner, and this one is too. Lovely watch. Cheers, John

Thank you John aka hawk eyes 😉

I’m sure someone here will make a collage to see if nothing else is different. Best wishes Alkiro

Incorrect about the crown and pushers - still rubber on this model.

The dial does appear more blue in the photo, but we will need to see it live to know for sure.

Actually crown and pushers are rubber [nt]

Very close, it appears.

Super cool shot... and collection 😳👍

I can’t see if there’s a difference, regarding the dial, among these three ROOs. Best wishes Alkiro

I love it but...

I expect more from AP, what are they afraid of? push the envelope guys, don't be afraid, get back to the cutting edge circa 2006/7/8. Newer and Stronger Materials being developed. Your Forged Carbon watches were so cool and cutting edge, you can do more. ...

These models are just "pre-SIHH" releases. Not necessarily everything that will be released ;-)

 By: MichaelC : November 14th, 2017-13:37
You did see the new 50 piece tourbillons, right? I would say they are shoving the envelope pretty hard!

I agree with you....

 By: SALMANPK : November 15th, 2017-05:01
I am sure there some great pieces still to be unveiled by AP for SIHH and I am always excited to see what AP has for us. I did see the 50 piece tourbillon. It's nice, probably MSRP is USD 100k plus. I was talking about the sub USD 60k level where they cre...

Is this steel or titanium?

 By: M4 : November 14th, 2017-16:15
I like it! Also, is it limited? Thanks, M4

I've found my answers.

 By: M4 : November 14th, 2017-16:29
Stainless steel & 50 PCs. M4

Half correct...I think

 By: MichaelC : November 14th, 2017-18:15
It is steel, but not limited. At least, the information I was sent by AP states the tourbillons are 50 each, but it does not say that for this "re-issue". I therefore hope it is not limited.

Great reintroduction.

Why change something that was done so well.

What’s the reason for the re-issue?

The first Offshore ref. 25721 aka. The Beast was launched in 1993 to general disdain but today, everyone recognizes that “The Beast” led the way in opening a whole new segment for AP, the highly successful luxury sport watch market. However, The Beast is ...

Well, it is the 25th Anniversary...

 By: MichaelC : November 14th, 2017-19:32
The way my brain works, one year is no more important than another. 25, 24, 27... whatever. But there is not another model like this in the current lineup. I don't have anything that says it is a limited edition. I don't think it has to do with being rare...

This is fantastic news. IMHO this watch is one of the greatest designs ever...

...but has any advancement been made with water resistance?

Anybody successfully ordered one?
