Not the best choice for an office day.

 By: MichaelC : June 28th, 2021-18:47
This dial is quite distracting. Love the new flyback movement, pushers are great. Still have not tried the quick change strap, I'll get to it at some point. ...

Looks good!

Feels good too. The advertised focus on "ergonomic improvement" is no joke.

 By: MichaelC : June 29th, 2021-13:56
I give AP a lot of credit for this new Offshore line.

Wow, don't get too distracted by that beauty Michael! Extremely good looking piece!

In that direct light the dial perimeter appears lighter...

Yes it does! The dial edge itself is not black...

 By: MichaelC : June 29th, 2021-13:57
But unless viewed directly in strong light like this photo, the dial does look to melt into the tach. It is super cool and I have not seen any photos that capture the mood correctly. It needs to be seen live.

Very cool shot.

What else to do at a traffic light?

 By: MichaelC : June 29th, 2021-13:58
Snap the watch, of course!

:)

Maybe the Audi man needs something more refined...

 By: MichaelC : June 29th, 2021-13:59
But a Royal Oak Offshore in a GMC truck? That is a match!!

This watch definitely has its own personality.

 By: MichaelC : June 29th, 2021-13:59
That is a very cool trait in the modern watch world!

Yup! Totally agree! Cheers Michael!

Perfect angle…

 By: ArmisT : June 29th, 2021-01:16
actually any angle would be perfect with this piece. As per my boutique SA, this piece is the most requested of the new 43mm ROOs. Not surprising for now, but we’ll see what the future brings.

I am not surprised to hear that. I think all 5 versions look cool.

 By: MichaelC : June 29th, 2021-14:00
But for me, this version is the standout.

Simply spectacular

One of my favorite APs 👏

Have you seen one live yet?

 By: MichaelC : June 29th, 2021-14:01
It was a quite a surprise for me. I purchased it sight unseen, so opening the box was a delightful moment.

STOP IT!

 By: afaleh : June 29th, 2021-18:50

Congrats on a beauty!!!!

 By: sschew : June 29th, 2021-02:52
That watch looks great and in fact this is the best picture that I've seen with this dial colour. Also one of the best wrist photos that I've ever viewed. Wear in good health and congratulations once again on acquiring a fine timepiece!!!

You are too kind.

 By: MichaelC : June 29th, 2021-14:01
I will work on better photos, but the dial can certainly be a chameleon!

Grrrrrr

 By: afaleh : June 29th, 2021-08:45
Stop posting pictures of that watch, my wife will throw me out if I buy another watch now and I can’t stop drooling over yours

That is only my 3rd photo!

 By: MichaelC : June 29th, 2021-14:02
Only 2 posts in 5 days of ownership. Imagine if this were my good buddy Chronometer - I think you would be kicked out by now!! LOL.

:(

 By: afaleh : June 29th, 2021-18:51

Cool shot ...

 By: Cpt Scarlet : June 29th, 2021-19:48
The dial looks good.

It's incredibly unique. AP has a way of doing that.

 By: MichaelC : July 6th, 2021-12:38
When time permits, I will get into the new case refinements and movement. We are sort of glossing over these incredible attributes... I think we are all blurred by the beautiful fume dial!

There is something ethereal about the dial...

 By: pfang56 : June 29th, 2021-21:39
I can't really describe it but it looks like something from Another spiritual realm. Your passion shows when you stop and take photos while driving I've done that many more times than my wife and kids would like me to behind the wheel... Cheers! Peter

Thanks Peter. The center dial color - whatever we call it - lends itself to the darkened edges quite well.

 By: MichaelC : July 6th, 2021-12:42
I credit AP for the smoked blue dial rage - most everyone offers one of those now. And we see it with green and other colors. But I feel this "taupe" or "silverized champagne" center dial color really fades to black so well. Appreciate your comments my Fr...

Awesome

After 20 years of "standard" Offshores on my wrist, this is incredibly impactful.

 By: MichaelC : July 6th, 2021-12:46
Long live the original 42mm, but I truly like this case much more. I have a special place in my heart for a new set of round rubber pushers, but those can stay unique to those 42s for now. I can't wait for other 43s to come, I like this one so much it is ...

Gotta have them!

 By: MichaelC : July 6th, 2021-12:47
It will be another low production day for me, because I am picking this up on the way to the office and I have not had it on for 5 days. Sorry, work!

How about 11-59?

 By: Gelato Monster : July 6th, 2021-13:15
How do you compare this new ROO with 11-59? Especially this black ceramic ...

Well, when I placed the Offshore on deposit, I came soooo close to also adding this exact model.

 By: MichaelC : July 7th, 2021-01:23
"One at a time" I told myself. But I love this ceramic middle case with the new dial. I do believe a fellow member will soon receive one

Lol

 By: Gelato Monster : July 7th, 2021-01:30
Two would be heavenly for me too

Such an amazing execution

 By: afaleh : July 6th, 2021-15:41
I keep coming back this thread to stare at your pictures. This particular reference seems like a great value AP, you get to experience many of APs best work including their amazing finishing on ceramic in a new ergonomically superior case with tremendous ...

And the movement is very impressive.

 By: MichaelC : July 8th, 2021-12:43
Much more fitting in a watch of this stature, and recommended sale level.

That is one of the reasons I am so looking forward to this addition

 By: afaleh : July 8th, 2021-18:04
This reference seems like the latest evolution of the Offshore, a watch I have owned and adored for so long, and the evolution is on all fronts: dial, case, materials, and movement. I need this
