Kind of sad because I thought I would always be a huge AP fan.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15202 Titanium Platinum from 2018 or White Gold from this year?.

 By: amanico : February 2nd, 2019-16:40
I must say that when I saw the Royal Oak Titanium Platinum and its superb smoke blue dial, I fell in love. But this year, Audemars Piguet comes back with a white gold version and a superb pink " salmon " dial. And now, I wonder which one I prefer. I would...

Lots of salmon dials this year, but . . .

 By: M4 : February 2nd, 2019-16:52
. . . we get seemingly dozens (If not hundreds) of blue dials EVERY year. Still, the question posed by Nicolas is a good one. I'd be thrilled to own either one. M4

Sure, but a salmon dial has somehow always given an aura of greater exclusivity to the watch, so personally I just don't like it that it's suddenly being overused by brands.

 By: FabR : February 2nd, 2019-17:05
Patek, for one, is still trying to preserve this special "status of the salmon" (or so I believe, we'll see in a few weeks...), which I appreciate. On its beauty, of course, no discussion -- aesthetically I have no problem to put it pretty much on the sam...

I'm going with blue [nt]

 By: bonovox303 : February 2nd, 2019-16:51

Sorry but I'll go for either one

 By: Tyo : February 2nd, 2019-17:00
btw, do you the delay pour the regular 15202?

If I was forced to choose ONLY one of these 2 then it would be the IP but...

 By: holdemchamp1225 : February 2nd, 2019-17:35
I am hoping to be able to add both of these in the future at some point. I know the IP is no longer going to be available so it would have to come from a reseller, another collector, or 2nd hand. As for the availability of the salmon dial, we still are no...

I love blue dials , anthracite dials and salmon Dial.

 By: Horology75 : February 2nd, 2019-18:07
But in case of 15202 I lean towards the Pt/ti version regardless of the numbers produced . I believe in practical weight and just love the colour of titanium being contrasted with highly polished platinum. And offcourse needless to say that blue is a kill...

You are always welcome ! [nt]

 By: Horology75 : February 3rd, 2019-00:30

I would go for the titanium too

 By: sham1 : February 2nd, 2019-18:20
I love my watches light and I understand that the white gold model is quite hefty. In addition, the titanium model would offer better value for money in my opinion. Of course, if there was a titanium with a salmon dial, I might actually consider buying on...

Very hard to choose between these two

 By: Watcholic_id : February 2nd, 2019-20:36
but if I had to choose based on the pic, I would go for the salmon dial by a thin line. Both are winners IMHO 😁 Cheers

difficult ...

 By: Bruno.M1 : February 2nd, 2019-23:09
I love both but there is 1 thing I really don't like about the blue a RO bezel needs to be brushed, here it is polished and that's so wrong ( to me) That aside I still can't decide

If, I would prefer the standard stainless steel version which has the best balance for my taste.

By: Pour le Mérite : February 3rd, 2019-01:08
Although it's a beautiful piece I keep distance to hyped watches, neither for me.

Definitely ➡️

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : February 3rd, 2019-01:53
The pink dial for me please!

Jumbo IP for me. Cheers, Nico.

 By: Pretty Boy : February 3rd, 2019-02:23
Best, Volker

Yep, but the mix of materials and the smoked blue dial make it a winner over the WG.

 By: Pretty Boy : February 3rd, 2019-04:20
Nonetheless, the WG is a stunning piece and I certainly would buy one if I had the chance to do.

I would go for the Salmon/Pink one.

 By: VMM : February 3rd, 2019-02:43
I don't like shiny surfaces, the Pt parts of the blue one are too much for me. Make them brushed and I'm in for the blue. Vte

Pt

 By: Jurry : February 3rd, 2019-05:08
Definitely platinum with blue dial

15202Ti for me, too!

 By: radone : February 3rd, 2019-07:48
I tried the similar chronograph boutique edition and the combination of materials is really great. I you add the thinness of 15202, you gat one piece of perfection. Radu

Thanks for the question Nicolas

 By: GreatPilot@me.com : February 3rd, 2019-10:37
I already have the blue 15202 so the Salmon fo for me, I’m on the list!. Justin hope you get both!...Jim

Thanks Jim, I already have a 15202ST but not the IP (Ti / Pl)...

 By: holdemchamp1225 : February 3rd, 2019-10:42
so I am hoping I will be able to add the IP sometime in the future. As for the salmon dial, we will need to see how many AP plan to make as I would also be keen to add it one day if I get the chance 😁 You've curated a great collection of watches so far Ji...

I keep trying and learning

 By: GreatPilot@me.com : February 12th, 2019-15:31
It is a good fight but I really enjoy it! I’m still waiting fo the SS double balance wheel openworks, it might be a while ...Jim

IP is my choice

 By: Bokfu : February 3rd, 2019-12:09
I am really not too crazy about sport watch in full gold. So, I’d opt for the IP version. The balance of Ti and Pt is very nice. Something I can wear everyday. White gold is a bit much and not an everyday watch for me.

IP for me, the salmon is too brownish I think. And the slight different color of the date wheel pronounces it.

 By: Figij005 : February 3rd, 2019-13:24
And by the way: why is the crowd discussing a different dial color so much more than three new movements in a completely new collection. I think the Code 11.59 is not that bad (apart from this silly name and the crazy prices).

Yes, not really feeling the blue degrade dial of the Ti/Pt version nor precious metal watches like the white gold version

 By: reintitan : February 3rd, 2019-15:14
but the "Goldilocks" dial of the new white gold version is very sexy.

Neither.

 By: JerryW : February 7th, 2019-19:34
Because they are too limited, only for special boutique customers. Those of us who have purchased for AD’s over the years really got the message.

Another point that hopefully AP reads.

 By: MichaelC : February 8th, 2019-05:38
But it won't make a difference, unfortunately.

+++ 1 on both counts. [nt]

 By: amanico : February 8th, 2019-10:53

Kind of sad because I thought I would always be a huge AP fan.

Luckily we have amazing independent watchmakers that really cater to their customers.

I know I won’t ever have the chance to own either but

 By: singingbee : February 10th, 2019-23:18
I would personally go for the new salmon dial variant as the overall look appeals to me more.

the polished (mirror like effect) bezel and links of the Pt/Ti puts me off to be honest i hate that finish

By: Mohannad (aka Riddler) : February 11th, 2019-01:32
although the dial is on another level but the bezel and links kill it for me so i would say the WG with salmon dial is the preference here now if the bezel of the Pt was brushed same finish as the whole watch then i would seriously pose and think about it...

Hard to say without seen in person...but

 By: RTO (T8W8T8) : February 11th, 2019-20:08
I'd vote for Ti/IP since that blue dial seems like really special and something "visually limited" to me...it tells me AP will not keep doing it...really for a limited time ! As far as "Salmon dial" goes (really beautiful) but note that AP calls it "Pink ...

Love both!

 By: Gatsby : February 12th, 2019-03:31
But i am also totally happy with my steel 15202 ! The blue dial is a pure winner, no doubt, but as i am not a huge titanium fan - my dream watch would be the WG RO with the smoked blue dial ! Best! Werner

I own the salmon jubilee ss

 By: Mineral : February 12th, 2019-06:56
so I definitely will add the blue one IP if have chance

White gold salmon dial, but

 By: Geo : February 12th, 2019-07:43
I have my doubts about the color of the date ring and I hope it will be the same as the dial. GEO

Please can you ask ..

 By: Cpt Scarlet : February 15th, 2019-01:17
me an easy question for a change ? It’s like asking which twin sister you want to date

Meow ! [nt]

Ok, make that Salmon for meow [nt]

15202IP for me

 By: JCC296 : February 16th, 2019-01:20
...

Undoubtedly the white gold version for me!

 By: wicozani : February 16th, 2019-11:00
I already have an E-series white dial 15202ST, and I've fallen out of love with all my blue dial watches and have sold nearly all of them off. The white gold salmon dial version is beyond special. I love the stealth aspect of it (most will think it SS), a...
