I won't go so far

to call it an "abomination". But yes, I don't like it and I think AP made a big mistake. It's a very well made but ugly like hell watch, and how can anyone at AP not noticed that the hands, especially when they are aligned 24 times in a day, strongly resembles a certain body appendage sticking out from the Black Panther's lower body? This watch is like AP's middle finger to 99% of their regular and loyal customer base, while trying to pander to the hiphop and Hollywood crowd. Surely there are ways to make this watch much more tasteful and subtle? Rather than in this crass and vulgar manner.
When we buy into a brand like AP, it's not purely just for the watch itself but also the brand image. The day this image is lost, or diluted or morphed into something else urecognizable will be the end of the brand. Not saying this is happening now, but it sure looks like the trend for now. For those that said this is a one-off and naysayers are being uptight with their criticism, noticed that AP has gone out of its way to promote the collaboration, with numerous videos and social media posts so of course, everyone will see this as an important sign for the development of the brand's future, good or bad.
For those that say, anyone who doesn't like/love this watch can dump all their ROs and quit the brand is a silly suggestion. One can love the brand and still criticise and call it out it for any perceived wrong doing or faulty design. Watch collectors are after all a passionate group. If we felt nothing about what the brand is doing, good or bad, we would have probably not bought into it in the first place.
