Bet it looks better in the metal

I think the central seconds is a strange addition. That doesn't kill the watch for me, because it's a fun complication and AP has a nice history with the Starwheel. The minutes track and the outer chapter ring appear to be angled and the wheels too are not flat. I'd bet the depth effects makes it look a lot better in person than it does in flat photographs.

Hi all, It\'s been a while since I last posted, but upon browsing around it seems that AP delivered yet another surprise!! A Code Starwheel!! Just amazing and super happy that AP has decided to bring this incredible model back! I had assumed this would be...

Probably not to everyone’s taste but…

I personally like it, actually it’s the first CODE I’d consider on my wrist so far..! A lot of interesting things on the dial, adding some attractiveness to the case which seems to me too bland and not very well proportioned with the less complicated vers...

I like the aventurine and the fact that they are expanding their offerings.

A step in the right direction! This one though is not my cup of tea.

I love the creativity

In general I like the code. I just wish it were 38mm because with that case shape it would wear like a 40mm. Now it's a 41 that wears like a 43

I like it

The Code is flawed, but there's a lot of beauty amid the conflicting signals. That might be why I spend more time thinking about it than I spend on conventionally handsome alternatives. And the Starwheel is one of the my all-time favorites. Taste varies, ...

Bet it looks better in the metal

I don’t know how the original looked, but this is a dynamic dial with nice aventurine detail and no date. Plus, it’s surprisingly easy and clear to read the time. I wonder what exciting future Code releases will come over time.

+1

Yet I do prefer monochrome dial (non aventurine). The aventurine is amazing but I am just not for it.

It is absolutely Magnificent.

I have been trying to post additional photos for you all, but am having some difficulty. We will get them up ASAP.

Not bad, but

The second hand and seconds indexes fill the dial (isn't 41 too big perhaps?), as well as the brand's name. Clever move to balance an otherwise hollow dial. I don't even look at the price, AP plays in its own league.

Well, hmmm, NO. Urwerk makes a way more appealing watch (to me),

Even the Xeric looks nicer in its 1500$ watch.... I'd prefer AP to focus on improving the poor reliability of their current models rather than working on newer ones. but that's a huge elephant in the room no one likes to talk about....

Xeric 😂

Looks cool

Love it. Now I have to rob a bank or sell 2 kidneys to get it.=C

That's what I wanted!

The star wheel is my favorite AP, the big size is not to my taste but I like that they brought this icon back

Aaah finally, a Code which receives a dial as exciting as the case. Till this one, I loved the case, but never found a dial which pleased me 100%. Now the dial is as daring as the case!

What a dial! What a case! What a watch! Well done, AP. Well done. It's been many years I wasn't so excited for an AP novelty. Best, Nicolas

;)

It's actually very very easy

Just look at the top of the dial where you see the minutes. 00....60 , the hour disc that corresponds will be the closest to the minutes ..Like in this photo it shows the time as 10:23... get it? ...

Yes, correct.

AP has wisely

extended the code with this lovely star wheel function ! I like it 👍

It has lost all the charm of the original star wheel

A Whimsical complication deserves a romantic design and case. The CODE is certainly not that. For me, this is a fail.

I agree with your perspective and choice of words….

The original was charming and whimsical. This version is neither.

Love this incarnation!

The original has a certain something that cannot be recreated, however this is a great way to reintroduce the movement to a younger audience. I think it is just a great application for the Code! Stunning!

Stunning

Dial is out of this world. Will be a huge success for Ap!
