I’m proud to present my latest NWA- my new 43mm Audemars Piguet ROO in a rarely seen Smoked Taupe dial and is now fitted with the new integrated flyback chronograph movement caliber 4401 and a newly redesigned dial, case, bezel , glass , pushers , and qui...

Yes it’s so heartening to see ! the offshore line has always been a long standing favourite of mine and I’m so happy that it’s now being updated after so long is a great sign indeed!

Cheers ! 😉🙏

Thank you!

Top ROO, top shots!

Congratulations on the most impressive and unique of the new ROO 43mm offerings. You macros are seducing as you highlight the finer points of this piece compared to previous ROOs. Many of the other models are titanium cased, I think…but this is steel. I w...

Nice shot!

Love all the details! Have you bought any other colour strap to switch over? That dial colour no doubt is nice but I can’t think of which colour will match 🤔 🥂 Jen

Huge Congrats.

Saves me needing to try and do the same, because I would not get such captures ;-)

Macros are great, but I don't usually look at my watch that close . . . .

. . . so, how is the legibility on this one? Seems like the hands might get lost?

It is just fine.

 By: MichaelC : June 25th, 2021-16:09
Fortunately, AP did not fill the hands w black as they did w the markers, so they jump off the dial and are easily seen. Darker subdials definitely help in this regard. I have owned other pieces w silver subdials, and found the time is not easily recogniz...

Thanks!

😉👊👊👊cheers !

It's a great choice but, while nice to have new options, nothing can top the 44 for design coherence and continuity of the original RO DNA imho. With a steel case and increased thickness...

nor I can't see this competing with the wearability of the 44 ultralight forged carbon case with its titanium back, push piece and crown guards, which granted is no longer available new. It is an intriguing new offering though. Enjoy!

Completely fair point...

 By: oyster case : June 26th, 2021-03:09
but with the OP putting such an emphasis on ergonomics and refinement and detail it bore pointing out other models that have done it better. Especially given that curves are not at all part of AP DNA and the case back isn’t curved, the one place it could ...

Just can’t un-see the strange placed date window. Would rather it be removed.

Nice watch tho and like the idea of removable straps.

I actually didn’t even notice it. Absolutely Love it!

 By: mrnoppy : June 27th, 2021-03:38
Perhaps you’re still too used to the old date and subdial placement which I dare say is less symmetrical and balanced as this new dial layout on the offshore . I hardly noticed the 4.30 date (which has been there all the while on the ROCs too) due to the ...

WOW

That model represents everything AP does well! The perfect canvas for their finishing and on both ceramic and steel, with a classic-yet-contemporary design! This is a must have! Congrats on the acquisition!

I knew I had to have it!

The moment it was announced I knew it had to be mine!

Really nice shots of a tremendous new ROO.
