AP Service Center will put in an upgraded ROO chronograph movement for $10.00USD??

I just called the AP service center in Clearwater, Florida and asked them about a maintenance service for my Carbon Royal Oak Offshore (A26400AU.OO.A002CA.01). As expected, they quoted $1,500USD, but then the agent said that for $10 more, they will drop in an upgraded movement with, among other things, a longer power reserve. (My watch was bought in 2014 and has not been serviced yet.)
My question for the purists: would you suggest avoiding the new movement and staying with the original one? Of course it is not about the $10, but rather my notion that original issue is best with most collectible items. Perhaps not so much if the movement is put in by the original manufacturer as in this case? I am inclined to do it, but would like to hear some opinions from the experts here.
Thanks,
Jim
