A Time Only Pair
By: Jay (Eire) : February 18th, 2021-18:44
Some of you will recall I sold my only Lange (Dato U/D) a few years ago, in part to justify the addition of another piece from Journe. It was the right decision for me at the time, and I’ve not second guessed it as the “new to me” Journe has commanded a l...
The HG was a big deciding factor in this piece for me.

My understanding is that the HG is more difficult to work with, presumably due to it being a little harder than YG or RG. That in itself shouldn’t be a reason for not producing more but I wonder whether or not they believe a higher price for HG, versus RG...
Haha, yes indeed Patrick.

These two in some respects are timeless. The case size perhaps being the only thing I would wish was different (a few mm smaller would be perfect).
I especially like the 40mm 1815.

I'm actually looking for a 40mm 1815 in white gold (like Jocke's). Great watch, beautifully large. German watches can be forgiven to be big! I've strapped on the Richard Lange PLM in platinum on several times and I did find it a tiny bit thick, but I have...
Excellent watches and photos!

As always, Lange rewards sharp photographic angles with stunning three-dimensionality!
Thanks CR.

Two marvellous three handed watches
By: emcquillan : February 18th, 2021-21:38
The fusee chain PLM is a stunning movement and to see how thin the chain in outside the movement is a marvel. My favourite three hander. The 1815 I’ve owned in white gold, but this egg shell dial with honey gold may be the finest edition.... maybe tied wi...
That’s a very strong come back, Jay!

Such a lovely duo! These two are much more wearable than the Dato. Can’t wait to see them in person
Congrats Jay! 🥂🥂🥂

Nice choice on the duo... I, on the hand, have the Richard Lange platinum and always wanted to buy the Dato Up/Down. 🤣 enjoy your watches in good health.
A great duo!

Two fantastic watches. Same "genes" but still very different.
Thank you.

There are some other power duos in Lange which I can think off, but these two are right up there too.
Thanks Bill.

There was some collateral damage in acquiring these two; one notable (or perhaps these days notorious may be more apt) piece was sacrificed! (Not one we talked about however).
Huge congrats Jay ! :-)))

Both of them are lovely, but I do hope the Datograph finds its way back to you. I can’t help but think the Datograph has a special place in the history of our watch world. Best Gatsby

Great response mate...in any case it’s the journey that matters, not the final destination.
