Today was a good day...

A few months before the pandemic hit, I bought my first 1815 chrono: a first generation RG/black dial version. It's a great watch, but I bought it for a different world, when people still went into the office every day and dressed up for the occasion. I now work from home as much as I can, and I hardly ever wear a suit. So I was looking for essentially the same watch, but in a more versatile white metal that I can wear with jeans. I'm happy to introduce the solution: the boutique edition that I just bought in a trade for the RG. I love it. I love it!

And let me be the millionth soul on the web to congratulate you on the spectacular Voutilainen!

As much as I love the RG-Black Dial, this was a good decision.

In a similar situation in terms of different everyday environment this last 1.5 years. Opportunity to wear some watches no longer exist and so changes make sense.

I wish I could have both, but as they say ...

It' difficult to argue with this logic

I too was in the market for the 1815 RG / black dial (current generation), but it didn't fit my wrist particularly well, so ended up with the VC Cornes de Vache in steel. I am really happy I did, as the combination of silver dial, blue undertones and whit...

I will - thanks!

Yes, I will always miss my first. Love yours!

IMHO you have picked the perfect manual chrono from Lange.

Bi-compax dial with symmetry (which beats the modern Datograph, in my opinion), lovely blue printed numerals, stealth white gold.

thanks!

To me, the main difference between this and the Dato is that I can comfortably wear this one and not that one. Also, blue!

Congrats! It’s a great watch, though the black dial version you traded in is no slouch.
