I was just wondering if the name Glashuette is something that everybody here might "understand" correctly: "Glas" is clear, I mean there is nothing not to undertsand. The German word "Heutte" means in English: shed, cabin, hut, cottage ... But it can be a...

Not the round dial, the rectangular one, with applied roman numbers, which is the correct and the only one for the platinum cabaret black dial. Best, Nicolas.

Glashutte was a very active city in textile and in silver mining of the Ore Mountains but these two activities collapsed. This lead to the settlement of the watchmaking manufacture which started its activity in 1845, in order to give a new dynamic to this... 

... as silver was / is also used for jewellery. I know the next point is a bit far leading and confusing as the understanding has something to do with German language and terminology only: In German language "Pfeffer-Kuchen" for Christmas bakery is common...
