On paper, it is very close to the standard Z, but, that extra diameter, and being just a half hair thinner, really make a difference.
I know this will get lost in translation... You know how the Rolex Deep Sea is great, but the proportions are just a little "off". Then the SD43 very slightly changes a couple measurements and everything clicks? That's the amount of difference between the Z and ZD. Personally, I think the ZD, while larger than the Z, is more balanced.

Zeitwerks. They don't work well as dailys, since they're difficult to wind. But they are cool. And the engineering is amazing. They're not super reliable as it takes a lot of energy to accelerate and brake those discs for the instantaneous change mechanis...
