Indeed you would not be the first to have told me that they prefer the Lange 1 to the Lange 1 moonphase.. Other than the luminous hands, wonder why is that? It is not often that so many plump for a simpler watch over one with a complication as beautiful as a moonphase..
As mentioned I have only managed to try on a platinum moonphase.. Which while stunning is not within my budget.. As yet to see a L1 MP, but I do understand why you may think it looks empty on the dial.. Wouldn't a non MP L1 be emptier then?

Maybe I expect too much from non-simple watches...
.. Lange 1 is a simple 3 hands + PR watch which can be with simple dial, while L1 MP has MP and that "accent" put the emphasis on the emptiness of the rest of the plain dial.... you know what I am getting at? The same goes to (to me anyway) RL Tourbillon ...

sooner. between your choices, I would choose the 1815 chorono. aesthetically its beautiful, movemnt wise its the best. and have you seen the ,movement? you can wear it upside down and people wont look at you funny but with awe.

I would go for the 1815 Chrono. As already mentioned here, the difference between the Datograph and the 1815 Chrono is the big date. Both come with 60 hour power reserves. Considering the amount of work they put into the movement, it's good value for mone...
