Great report as usual FX!

Too bad we could not have more time to chat but hopefully soon.

My take on novelties:
Fully agreed on Zeitwerk. Few additions: I really like the grey dial, reminds me the unique piece that was made for charity back then; works great with the glass date ring. The size is too big for my taste. However; sits quite well as Striking time does and I believe it was the best update it can get. I'm sure we'll see more in the future.

Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon:
I'm completely biased. It is my favorite watch, perhaps ever. Both its technicality, visuals for me unbeatable. Although I prefer the platinum gotta admit this one is absolutely amazing. Well, I guess it depends on the mood smile

Langematik Perpetual:
About discontinuing; perhaps it was a move to raise up the grey-market prices of black dial just a little. Future will tell. Fully agreed, such a beautiful watch in honey gold. Especially love the special treatment on hours chapter; gave the watch the spice it needed.

Lange 1:
Not too much exciting for me too. It looks great in metal but the question need to be asked; which Lange 1 does not!?

Richard Lange:
Best among the bunch for many. Perfect update for the watch; sure it'll be a hit.

Finally; completely agreed on the strategy vise and entry-level point. Those two needs to be solved. Let's see!

SIHH 2019: Lange & Söhne

 By: foversta : January 28th, 2019-13:04
I will very quickly kill the suspense: the Lange & Söhne SIHH 2019 collection was not the most spectacular of the decade. I want to say: all the better. I find that a brand of the size of the Saxon Manufacture doesn't need to release loads of noveltie...

Thank you Fx for the terrific write and up and photos.

Lots to enjoy from Lange this year. I like all four creations this year. Best,

Great report as usual FX!

Frankly I find too many novelties every year dilutes the brand. It should be about quality not quantity. Lange should take their time and focus on promoting their amazing current production. As the market matures and supply is absorbed, then continue with...

Thank you Fx

Love every single watch presented, bravo to Lange for a home run year

Lange needs a new strategy going forward .. my 2c

First I love Lange for their movements and attention to details. I own 2 of them 1815 Chrono and L1 mP day night. However I think that Lange is a bit stuck in the past. They are not picking up new customers. Definitely fewer than Rolex AP and PP. prices i...

I respectfully disagree

I think Richmond’s strategy is to keep Lange as a small production brand and that they are perfectly happy at 5’000 watches per year since they sell it all. I would actually think that there path to growth is too continue to expand their high-end model li...

No regrets at all!

Just bursting with anticipation! If I could pick up the Zeitwerk Date or the TS today, I would still go for the TS without any hesitation. However, the Zeitwerk Date is very probably my next Lange acquisition after the TS (unless they come out with someth...

Indeed.

It is really something special. I'll make sure to post plenty of wrist shots and close ups when it arrives.

Likewise if you are in Geneva!

Worse case, we can meet at SIHH 2020. Are you going to Basel?

Lange isn’t Patek and shouldn’t try to follow the same strategy.

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : February 3rd, 2019-13:46
Won’t work anyway. Imo Lange is a brand with a relatively (very) short history and they simply need time to grow their legacy. A legendary status like Patek doesn’t come over night. Give Lange time and their value will be recognized in the we look at the...

Great report , thanks

I have to admit that ALS had a great line of stunning watches this year .
