Setting Moon Phase Display On Saxonia? (HELP!)

Hey guys, I’m new to the forum. I recently bought the saxonia moon phase (ref: 384.032). Can someone help clarify a few things regarding setting the moon phase display? I read the instruction manual thoroughly but felt that there were a few vague areas.


  1. Does the crown HAVE to be out (position 1) when I use the actuator to advance the moon phase? Or is it safe to advance the moon phase with the crown in the zero position and the watch running?
  2. Is there a certain time when I should not manually advance the moon phase? Similar to the idea that I should not manually advance the date between 10pm and 2am.
  3. Each push of the actuator advances the moon phase by approximately how long? A day? A half a day?


I apologize if these questions are addressed elsewhere on the forum.

In Patek I’ve seen a You Tube video for setting an annual calendar. It states that date window is under motion between 8 pm to 2 am and one should not change date during this period. Moon phase mode is under change from 9 am to 12 noon, therefore ideally ...
