Both terrific, but the Lange for me!
I'm curious if you noticed either of these being more accurate than the other since they are both chronometry-oriented watches?
My CB is the most accurate watch I own.
It's pretty much right on when I wear it. When there is any deviation, it is no more than 1spd. The one time I tested the power reserve, it ran for 64 hours (I believe they advertise 56 hours)
You're definitely more qualified than I am to comment on the accuracy of Lange vs. Journe! ;)
I guess it's really isochronism that should be tested against the PLM, so accuracy by itself wouldn't be enough. But I'll leave it to you to do a fair test. I'm eager to find out the result
Just remembered, the CB actually does have a torque equalization device inside as well; the dual parallel mainspring barrels
So it should be an interesting comparison!
Indeed the CB does have 2 barrels to even out the torque Jordan but the idea of the fusée and chain is that it gives constant force and torque REGARDLESS of the amount of power reserve in the barrel/barrels...
Whereas other watches, regardless of the number of barrels cannot do that. The multiple barrels help distribute torque equally BUT once the power reserve is depleted, they do not provide the same torque (hence the use of constant force systems) 😉 Hope tha...

And that strap with the PLM is great. The hidden joy of the PLM on the wrist must be fun... it’s very much “if you know, you know” 😉

+1, yes the Pour Le Merite line is a subset of the Richard Lange line and incorporates a fusée and chain as described...
Most people don't know how different that is as a fusée and chain consists of more movement parts than most Grand Complication pieces such as Tourbillons, Minute Repeaters, etc... For example, this PLM has over 900 component pieces making up the movement ...
Another level of many things, including stealth for sure - But
