News Flash: A new Lange & Sohne: 1815 Tourbillon Enamel.

Jul 12, 2018,09:45 AM

Those who loved the Langematik Anniversary will probably be intrigued by this all new 1815 Tourbillon Enamel.

A 39, 5 mm case, 11, 3 mm high, an enamel dial, and a tourbillon with a hacking and zero reset second.

The metal used for this case? Platinum.

Limited to 100 pieces.

Here are the pictures I received.

I am always happy to see a Lange with a white enamel dial with a red 12... The thing is that I would have loved to see the Tourbillon on the back, not on the dial side, as this dial is so pure!

What do you think?

Best,

Nicolas

I couldn’t agree more about keeping the dial as complete as possible. Enamel dial is best appreciated without any opening. Keep the tourbillon cage and other technical interests on the movement side. Maybe do some more engraving on the 3/4 German silver p...

+1

Agree....not a fan of

big holes cut into the dial. The owner knows what it is and can admire it from the back...I would go a step further and include a solid case back. Also, 38mm would have been perfect for my 7.25" wrist.

Sorry for the confusion...

...by 'include' what I meant was 'in addition to.' I am all about the stealth : )

I would like

1815 micro-seconds with same email dial without any other complications - big winner & accessible to common Purist 😜 Best, Mahesh.,

I'm not enamored with this enamel dial...

I can't remember the last time I got excited about a Lange watch now... The Richard Lange Pour Le Merite Tourbillon with the fantasy-like disappearing regulator dial is the last watch I really liked. The old Anniversary is so nice compared to this one. Th...

It was nice, but too expensive for a secondes morte. The Zeitwerk was really cool when it came out. But the thickness means it doesn't fit under the French Cuffed shirts (and I can't use my Zeitwerk cufflinks) and weight is a bit prohibitive. Now I really...

Interesting choice to revisit this reference

I was immediately met with the same feeling as when the black dialed WG Richard Lange PLM was released - how does this impact the current owners of the original reference. On top of that, I wonder who the new prospective owners are? If one was not impress...

I'm a huge fan of the 1815 Tourbillon but for this one I would have been more creative in execution

1. Why not a navy blue enamel dial, or salmon enamel dial 2. Why indeed not hide the tourbillon I guess the safe way was to make a look a like interpration of the RL Anniversary dial, which is hugely successful in the second hand market. ALS, Make it more...

I had zero clue this exists!

Yes Platinum, only 1 made for a member of the board, or director as a retirement gift by Lange many years ago.

I don’t own it, I wish, but I know where it is 😬. That same board member sold it.

Ouch Maltie, stunning Datograph Blue Email

If only it was blue enamel, which they have never done before

I feel like the white enamel red 12 will always be the DNA of the original time only version

+1 backside Tourbillon and it would have been perfect AND

I probably would have sold a couple pieces to help in the acquisition. As it stands I really like it, but wouldn't make sacrifices to be a lucky owner. I had the exact same feelings as you when I saw it early this morning. Best,

The watch lives from the tourbi cage on the dial side

Without it the watch would look like a standard 1815. The tourbi and its stop hammer add the charm of Victorian Times engineering that I love so much about Lange. The other side of Lange is romance. And equipped with an enamel dial and a red 12 this one i...

Completely agree Nico

It would have been stunning virgin email dial
