Good question. First of all, I like the philosophy of the A. Lange & Söhne brand. The concentration on quality, the movements etc. I was looking for a handsome dresswatch, with little to none complications. But I was always interested in the annual calender complication; practical, interesting, affordable and almost as good as a perpetuel calender. Several other brands, like Blancpain, Omega and Patek Philippe, offer this complication as well. And I'm not 100% sure which one I'd take of the usual suspects. So I decided to stick to my intention of buying a rather simple (complicationwise) dressy watch: the Lange 1.
