I see your point...I think the power reserve looks fine and distinguishes it more from the 'regular' datograph. And for a double split, the power reserve may be more useful to make sure you have the stored energy required to time your 2 events simultaneously over a certain period of time.

You capture the soul of the watch very well! The no date does, in my view, keeps the dial cleaner. But I think a date would be more useful than a PR in this timepiece mind you. Oh and gorgeous strap!

I would argue that the PR takes up less real estate on the dial, whilst blending better within the canopy. But yes, why not just omit for a much cleaner face.

Yes, but on the Dato it is made for that. So, why not for the Double Split? Aesthetically. Now I don't know if there is not a specific problem to associate the Grande Date to the Double Split...

I love it still
the power reserve after a while looks balanced on the dial, even more so in the metal when you appreciate the effects of the recessed dial. Just spend an hour with it sometimes and enlightenment will come! Andreas
