I own both watches.............
I have the MP in platinum and the chrono in wg and don't find any problem with the weight of either. It is all a matter of taste as i am the oppsite of Ken. I prefer the overall look of the MP models to the L1 but to each his own. If I had to choose I would take the front of the MP and the back of the chrono but since 95% of the time you will be looking at the front of your watch it would be the the MP for me. Good luck with your decision both are very nice. You can't go wrong with either one.

Maybe I expect too much from non-simple watches...
.. Lange 1 is a simple 3 hands + PR watch which can be with simple dial, while L1 MP has MP and that "accent" put the emphasis on the emptiness of the rest of the plain dial.... you know what I am getting at? The same goes to (to me anyway) RL Tourbillon ...

sooner. between your choices, I would choose the 1815 chorono. aesthetically its beautiful, movemnt wise its the best. and have you seen the ,movement? you can wear it upside down and people wont look at you funny but with awe.

I would go for the 1815 Chrono. As already mentioned here, the difference between the Datograph and the 1815 Chrono is the big date. Both come with 60 hour power reserves. Considering the amount of work they put into the movement, it's good value for mone...
