I tried these two a few days ago and really loving them. The Lange 1 looked a hair small initially, but really loved it on my wrist. I kind of similar feeling as with the Patek 5110. I also tried a Grand Lange 1 moonphase on but seemed a bit too large and...

Yes, they were both available ar my AD. I was actually surprised by the amount of watches on display: Zeitwerk, also 1815 Chrono in yellow and pink gold, Datogtaph Perpetual, new L1 Timezone, and many others.

I think that L1 looks stellar on your wrist. I thought it may be a bit small as well, but it wears perfectly on my 7.5 inch wrist.

Between the 2 I will pick 1815 chrono. For Lange 1s I prefer the other versions not the white gold one which has lume hands which I feel don't fit Lange 1's dial very well. Cheers Robin

I fully understand you, but the L1 is somehow calling me louder. I'm a practical guy, and the date and power reserve are both kind of my thing. Same with the lume, very practical. Although my favorite combo at the moment is white gold + black dial, only a... 

The Lange 1 comes in a multitude of colorways and sizes — is this your favorite combo size and color? It’s is an emblem of the brand!

I love the WG-White dial version, but not my preferred one nowadays. Due to other similar combos in my current collection, I'd go for something different. Ideally, WG-Black dial, but I could even try ping or yellow gold to add some diversity.

My aging eyes read the time easier, it’s arguably the best functioning flyback chronograph, and that backside view is all Datograph without the added heft.

Lange chronographs are something else, but I think I prefer to start with a L1.

Let's see where this Lange journey takes me...

But it will depend on the intended use, as I like to have the date on the watches I wear daily to work.
