As for the Zeitwerk, I admired the simple look that hides a mechanical marvel. The time bridge (borrowed from Semper Opera House in Dresden) is a marvel to behold every 60 seconds as it changes. The movement—the winding and barrel mechanism, the remontoir and the aesthetics—is remarkable. I could go on, but in short it’s such a unique piece! As I close, here’s something I find interesting. If I have the Zeitwerk on and I go into a watch boutique (specifically, Patek, JLC, and Breguet) the representative is more interested in my Zeitwerk than talking about their own. It has happened at all 3 of the aforementioned boutiques.
