I'm sharing this because it turned out to be one of my favorite strap/watch combinations. I took a chance on this strap because I had never seen this finish (which I think is typically used on women's straps) in person and I usually don't like such thick padding. It's a Camille Fournet strap, "black pearlized" finish/color (the key is "pearlized"), with 5.3mm padding and black stitching. The ZW is a beefy watch, so I think the thicker padding works really nicely with it. You can see the padding profile pretty well in the pics below (compared to regular Lange padding, in the second pic). The pearlized black finish gives the strap a deep charcoal gray look (similar to the Datograph "blue gray" strap) but with a very slightly reflective metallic finish. It's definitely nothing like regular black, though the photos below may not show that difference as well as you can see it in person.

Which strap do you think looks best on a WG (black dial) Zeitwerk? ...  

I’m looking at it from a phone, from which the dial looks more blue than the navy strap (hence don’t necessarily trust my advice!;-), but I’d probably go either for the black or blue here!😉 [nt]

Black for sure. Navy could be passable. Brown's a no-go IMHO.

Another option would be Lange's gray-blue strap that comes with the platinum Datograph -- sort of a charcoal color with slightly lighter stitching. A dark gray strap would look good.

I agree the brown strap doesn’t match this dial. I will try it with a dark grey/ grey-blue strap one day. NATO could be interesting but it isn’t my preference. Thanks and stay safe!

A more casual strap with a white stitch might give the Zeitwerk a more "sporty" look

I would go with black and wear my ZW mostly with a black strap as well...

you might also want to try a charcoal dark grey as I think that combo also works well with the ZW

Not a fan of blue and black combo to be frank. Full black is a bit sad. I usually don't like brown. So with this type of watch I like grey or burdundy strap! Fx

I tried grey as an alternative and black with various different colour stitchings, but chose matte black, black, black (the Boutique threw in two extra straps) on a single folding deployant. [nt]

It’s a stunning watch and I think a coloured strap with contrast stitching possibly to pull out the dial details and make it pop! You can always have the black as the ‘safe option’ for those occasions 😀

I did look at CF and seems the only pearlized they now offer is green. Pardon me not noting that before . I also would prefer a more medium gray, not so dark, and CF doesn't seem to offer a medium gray. I wore the WG Zeit last night and I gotta say, I rea...

I have become a big fan of Jean Rousseau too. Pre-COVID, I visited their NYC shop several times and ordered some straps that came out really well. Here's a nice gray one, which I got with only 1 keeper and with 2 holes (1 summer, 1 winter).

That gray looks really nice... though it looks a bit different depending on the photo, I like that it is definitely a gray but not too light. I do wonder how a very high-quality light gray nubuck would look... [nt]
