Question for you if I might - I'm almost certain that the New York boutique offered a boutique edition of the moonphase several years ago that included the rose gold case along with a gray (rather than black) dial, but I've not been able to find it. Am I ...

Maybe it was a non-moonphase version?

There was a rose gold/gray dial Saxonia sold exclusively at Lange boutiques (216.033) but it didn't have a moonphase. To see the various Lange models that were offered, click the "Historic Data" tab on this spreadsheet .

Thank you

I've seen the non moonphase version as well, but I was sure I had seen a gray dial moonphase version as well, but honestly I've never been able to find it again or any info online, so I suspect my memory may be playing tricks on me. Thanks all!

Definitely a good morning.

Black and gold, for the win. Most important on this watch, matching colour date wheel !

Super elegant!

Latest thoughts on the Saxonia?

I have a few sports watches + divers, but my only Dress watch is a 20-year-old Baume & Mercier Hampton on a dark blue alligator band. Been thinking about upgrading the dress watch to something more elegant -- I really have come to appreciate the Saxon...

Welcome to WPS, and a general comment about "entry level"...

From what I've observed, most Lange enthusiasts don't use the term "entry level" to refer to a particular line (typically the Saxonia or 1815 line) because it can get a confusing. Lange's movements, cases, and dials are finished to a similar degree regard...

I agree, but that was literally how the Saxonia line was described by my local Lange boutique. And a big part of the appeal of the line is the enormous quality of the finishing -- regardless of price point. On a business trip with some time to kill I stum...

Yes, I completely understand! The boutique would say "entry level" because they're hoping to upsell :)

You might consider looking for a preowned Grand Lange 1 Moonphase, if you haven't already considered that and ruled it out.

Grand Lange 1 Moon platinum

I definitely will. Missed a Platinum version (139.025) at Hodinkee for a fair price (42), but I will be patient, and wait for a like new with box + papers
