I would go for the 1815 Chrono. As already mentioned here, the difference between the Datograph and the 1815 Chrono is the big date. Both come with 60 hour power reserves. Considering the amount of work they put into the movement, it's good value for money in my book.


But I have come to believe that one should make purchase decisions based on emotional reasons only. It means pick the watch that sings to you most no matter what others say.  I would save up for the Pt. version if I were you. Or at least, have a look at the RG version before placing an order. You could perhaps contact Lange ADs or boutiques in your region and make a trip down to have a look. The search is part of the fun. Good luck and have a blessed Christmas.
