Back to classics

With all the frenzy surrounding W&W launches over the last two weeks, I’ve actually been looking around for what I term a classic and timeless watch in rose gold. Comparing various brands, models etc over the last 2 months and finally built a shortlist of 3 watches.

Well, what do you do when you are gravitating toward one already and then the boutique sales person invites you for breakfast to kick off the workday?

Decision made, purchase closed and the workday start just got delayed, but heck, who is complaining ;-)

I am glad you went for the Lange. A quality product . And by the way, this watch really fits your wrist perfectly!

I would have chosen the same watch too

compared to the competition. I almost bought this four years ago but after six disappointments with new Lange watches, I was not brave enough to take the risk. Next time we meet, please wear this lovely timepiece. A near perfect dress watch at that price ...

I will certainly do, my friend

It is amazing on the wrist, both from the details, how well made it is and the size.

Beautiful!

It's easy to forget how many great pieces are still available. The novelties aren't necessarily better--just novel. Cheers, John

Thank you, my friend

This is one watch that Robin just said - it is so beautiful that it makes you think of just having one more for all the other heavy stuff and you’d be happy with a two watch collection (of course we all know 2 watches is never enough! LOL!)

Thanks

Definitely classic

Good decision.

This is a timeless beauty. It will still look good when all these crazy overhyped watches that get so much attention right now will long be gone and forgotten.

You couldn't have said it better.

The hype is actually going crazy - someone actually paid 3.5x over retail this morning at a grey dealer where I live for the yellow Rolex OP. That's actually more expensive than this Saxonia, which in my view is worth much, much more.

Perfect 👌!

Will definitely bring this one next time we meet

I wanted something warmer, and the white gold didn’t do it for me. Both are nice actually, but because I was looking for something to complement my 1815, I went for the pink gold instead.

Sometimes quiet authority is all we need.

I enjoy watches with a certain business about them: intricate, ingenious, multipurpose. At others all I want and need is simplicity. This ALS conveys that while being opulent as well. A fine balance.
