I call these “fun with depth of field”: ...  

How on earth do purists take these kinds of photos?!?! (incl. yourself :P)

All you need is a DSLR and a good macro lens, which combined cost much less than the watch.

I suspect that’s the product of (1) the slight curvature of the hand (resulting in a different reflection from elsewhere in the room), (2) the extremely shallow depth of field, placing the edge out of focus, (3) some artifact in the software, or all three... 

Your last shot is wonderful. Some things are meant to be seen only when one really looks.

Even with a good lens, I didn't think it was possible to see that much gap between the dial and the hand. And captured with its shadow too! But Lange does make your photography easier : )

almost anyone can take a great photo of a Lange.🙂

How do you play around with more or les depth?

opening or closing the aperture. These were taken with the aperture wide open, at f/2.8.
