The cut-out in the reset lever makes it act like a detent "spring" and allows some bending - think of it as a little shock absorber, when you press the pusher.

To be more precise, it acts as a shock absorber between the reset hammer (like in a chronograph), and a second lever which disengages the vertical clutch that drives the seconds hand. Sorry, can’t help it but still finding nice angles of this RL L033.1 movement. Even beveling in the inside of this wheel I wonder why the cut out on the lever? Woohoo, an inward angle and quite a sharp pointed outward one Lots of different textures I don’...

Fantastic photos of a stellar watch. Such a marvelous micro landscape to explore!

The relief is probably for shock absorption, to reduce the shear on the pin. -John

Other than that, only info is here on this site from 2010 and the video review from Watchfinder. I searched and read all the reviews on this watch and it really shows how under appreciated it is and still is from last month's Sotheby's in HK...That succes...

When I watched the WF video, I realized how quick that zero-reset function moved.

It makes sense to dampen the shock at the end of stroke. Yes, I agree that ALS is mostly under the radar. However, their Odysseus has some Stainless Steel buzz. With all the SSSW frenzy, there are bargains to be had while the crowd is distracted. Congrats...

Very true now it’s time for me to hunt the under appreciated pieces…

While the hype is still going on. I noticed a shift towards earlier pieces by brands lately, especially Cartier CPCP and Roger Dubius Sympathie and Hommage ( before it becomes Lamborghini inspired). I’m trying to find earlier Langes and PP grand complicat...

Love it!

My selection is very careful and it makes every piece special in its place so eventually nothing leaves 😅

For me, it’s not possible to buy and then sell in such a short time as in months…

My watches usually accompany me for years. I’ve paid my lesson fees so that’s why I’m very selective nowadays 😅

Yes, who knows...
