I have the exact same thoughts.... Couldn't bear the idea of incidental damages, which would really sour the trip.

Really depends on where you're travelling and how you travel.

My work sometimes takes me to countries/cities with a high crime incidence. When i do, i make sure to leave my higher end pieces at home and bring a Seiko worldtimer or an old Omega instead. Very beautiful watch by the way. Wear it in the best of health.
I agree, the destination matters.

I happen to travel to areas with high crime incidence as well. Do not want to invite unwanted attention from the wrong folks.
This is an interesting question.

I almost always travel with a Rolex GMT but I don’t feel comfortable traveling with 5110.
You're a brave one!

I usually avoid wearing a Rolex due to its high signature!
Here is my travel watch

Destination not withstanding; only exception is if it’s a watch event / GTG ...
nice photo of a superb watch!

I seldom travel with such a beauty... because i would want it to remain a beauty 😅 Steel cases GMTs would be my nearest. Warmest regards for the holidays !
