Hi everyone, I've always liked German design, from my Bimmer to the timepieces (I came oh so very close to buying a Glashutte PanoInverse in white gold...) The Lange Moonphase and the Saxonia Annual Calendar have really caught my eye and they are definite... 

... is harder than red gold. Also, note that unlike many other watch brands, Lange's WG alloy is not rhodium-plated. That being said, your gold watch, whether Lange or any other brand, will develop noticeable though light scratches if you wear it every da...

.....daily ! ;) The ALS babies are brought out in carefully controlled situations....... Still, they have scratches that make you go: "Aarrggghhhhh". I have to agree with you, wear steel watches or maybe gold ones with minimal bezel surface area to scratc...  

That Piaget ultra-thin Polo is nice (and fragile) but it takes a certain type of guy to be able to wear a diamond crusted watch. Perhaps an air-traffic controller. Planes can see you and your watch from miles away!

This man is NOT an air traffic controller and that is not a Piaget watch. He also has Panerai....... Regards, MTF ...

We can talk about this after SIHH 2014. The new 900P movement was designed not to be fragile as it is integrated into the watch case and there are other design features that protect the function under external duress. The whole watch can withstand hundred...

If PP is the Rolls Royce, then Lange is the Ferrari. The view of the caseback of a PP is all about refined subtlety while the Lange's caseback screams in look-at-me details. I was sure that the elegant Lange Moonphase model in red gold or the Saxonia Annu... 

And your favourite timepiece on your wrist while cruising down the country road... ...okay, maybe not while drinking...

If you crack my head open, all you'll find are calibres, balance wheels and car engines inside. Sorry, I tend to think in what I can identify with.

I have two Lange, one in pt and one in wg. They both get worn when I feel like it - and that's mostly with jeans and t-shirt going to work, or going grocery shopping, or whatever. If they get a few scratches who cares? Frankly the amount of metal you lose... 

I wear many a scratch magnet watch. And yet they all don't have scratches. Just have to be careful and no stupid fast movements. Suggestion, wear something different on those Friday Happy Hour evenings.
