People compare because they're dumb. They expected something genta-esque but got something lange-esque.
Personally I already expected them to bring something in similar fashion to Breguet La Marine – lots of brand dna but more sportier – but obviously I wished for something revolutionary as well.
Also things that tend to pleasure you in the first place won't make you happy long term. Beauty has to grow on you!

The same happened to me when I first saw it during the release. I was expecting a similar “iconic” look like PP or AP RO. Now I cannot see how other bracelet designs can fit the Odysseus other than this original look. Thanks Pour le Merite.
