Oh wow the rumors were true

 By: Reuven Malter : October 18th, 2019-00:35
It doesnt happen very often that something related to watches is really, really exciting!

I finally found it

 By: Reuven Malter : October 18th, 2019-00:59
Would not have found it without your mention here. There is some substantial information in the video, that i really love: - most likely a steel watch (because they already use all the other materials on a regular basis) - it could be affordable for norma...

Where does the “rumor” thing come from?

By: Pour le Mérite : October 18th, 2019-03:52
It was never a rumor, it was confirmed by multiple top tier assets for more than a year now.

+1! [nt]

I Just Hope it doesn't Look Like a Copy of another watch

 By: nafetS : October 18th, 2019-01:10
Good thing is A Lange did their own Thing so far, so there's a good Chance they will Not Just Bring another genta-like or rolex-like Clone. Edit: It Just now came into my mind, that 24th october is the exact day of the 25th "Birthday" of the First introdu...

The video's comments section is getting a little overexcited.

I just hope the reveal matches all the hysteria being displayed, and doesn’t turn out to be a damp squib.

I forgot one more thing...

 By: Reuven Malter : October 18th, 2019-02:22
The box! Just as Patek has opted to change the box for the nautilus in 1976 to make it fit to the theme of the watch - watertight so corc - ALS did just that: the came up with an elbsandstein-kind of box, almost as natural as the corc version. Nice.

Imagine!

 By: RGS : October 18th, 2019-04:21
I can imagine a 39-41mm steel case, simple complication (dual time, date, annual calendar), 100m WR, 25k-30K price watch from A. Lange & Sohne. Steel bracelet and composite strap models, white and black dials - maybe even blue and salmon on some models. I...

Alexander Linz mentioned in the comments a 48 hrs power reserve

 By: jack johnson : October 18th, 2019-04:40
I wonder if this means the L021.1 movement meaning the watch will have a Lange 1 Daymatic dial layout??? Tweaked towards a sports design, lumed, etc?? If it was based on the Saxonia auto movement the power reserve would have been 72 hrs.

Lange 1 Daymatic layout could make sense in a more robust and sporty case.

 By: RGS : October 18th, 2019-05:03
But, I would be realy thrilled to see a new manual movement here, like the ones found in the 1815 family. Is manual out of the question?

They can't bring anything "never seen before"

 By: edo.k : October 18th, 2019-04:51
HYT can, De Bethune can, MB&F can, Urwerk can... but ALS can't because they must take the standard - conservative route... sure, it will be something new and non standard by ALS standards, but in the segment of steel sport watches we have at least 16 ...

Stop betting, it’ll be a new approach!

By: Pour le Mérite : October 18th, 2019-07:31
You can expect something new and not a fucking lazy steel issue.

Would be nice! [nt]

 By: jack johnson : October 18th, 2019-07:46

I agree.

 By: Jay (Eire) : October 18th, 2019-06:26
There are only so many ways one can slice a steel sports watch on a bracelet if you are a traditional manufacture. I expect it’ll be unmistakably Lange, and that the chunky / fat / hockey puck cases many like to hate will actually work well for a sports w...

I know what you mean!

 By: patrick_y : October 18th, 2019-08:40
My thoughts exactly. But still waiting to be "wowed" by this conservative brand.

Great

 By: jim_94104 : October 18th, 2019-05:13
I get to put my name on another waiting list...

Good luck with that...

By: Pour le Mérite : October 18th, 2019-07:33
From what I’ve heard this watch will be boutique exclusive and the first production run for existing clients only.

I fall in that category, no problem ) [nt]

 By: jack johnson : October 18th, 2019-07:39
But thank you for the info, I did not know that.

I dont think this is true. I just visited my ad and he

Knew the piece and indicated that i can order next week.

Oh...

 By: Reuven Malter : October 18th, 2019-09:14
I should be more precise: i really do hope that this is not true.

The only certainty is we will have a pretty active thread here that day!

 By: Jay (Eire) : October 18th, 2019-06:31
For me, I’ll be selfish in hoping that it’s not a big case, but the reality is 40mm + is more likely I would think. Regardless everyone has to be happy that we may be seeing something new. That’s exciting.

I'd hate it to become another unobtainium...

 By: jack johnson : October 18th, 2019-08:43
but this is a possibility given that ALS's production numbers are way smaller than PPs etc.

Mr Linz is so nice...

 By: Reuven Malter : October 18th, 2019-09:22
.. he posts a comment to almost all comments made. And on two occasions, he seems to hind that it is below 42, one post almost reads like he confirms a size below 40. I did make some screenshots so to check back on that day next week. He seems to be reall...

As the owner of two Langes....

 By: Chromatic Fugue : October 18th, 2019-19:08
and a big fan of the brand, I must say: enough hype. Not sure whose marketing idea this extended rollout is, but I fear it can lead at best to relief (that the watch is pretty good after all) and at worst to disappointment.

It Will be Limited and Boutique Only

 By: IndieFan : October 18th, 2019-20:10
Don't expect to be able to walk in and buy this watch, it will only be sold to existing clients or with a large purchase as it's going to be a limited exclusive run. This is Lange's new strategy, and they are turning away new clients (those without an exi...

Indiefan,

 By: Reuven Malter : October 19th, 2019-13:42
Thank you for giving us more and precise information. I think thats fair to their fanbase. Could you tell me where you got your information from?

Sure...

 By: IndieFan : October 20th, 2019-15:18
I've heard the same from several boutiques that I have relationships with, which happen to be in different countries. A limited run makes sense as a business strategy as they clearly don't want to only sell "steel" watches, and it's being viewed as a rewa...

Thanks for the explanation! [nt]
