I bet its a Sports watch in steel!

It doesnt happen very often that something related to watches is really, really exciting!

Would not have found it without your mention here. There is some substantial information in the video, that i really love: - most likely a steel watch (because they already use all the other materials on a regular basis) - it could be affordable for norma... 

It was never a rumor, it was confirmed by multiple top tier assets for more than a year now.

Good thing is A Lange did their own Thing so far, so there's a good Chance they will Not Just Bring another genta-like or rolex-like Clone. Edit: It Just now came into my mind, that 24th october is the exact day of the 25th "Birthday" of the First introdu... 

I just hope the reveal matches all the hysteria being displayed, and doesn’t turn out to be a damp squib.

The box! Just as Patek has opted to change the box for the nautilus in 1976 to make it fit to the theme of the watch - watertight so corc - ALS did just that: the came up with an elbsandstein-kind of box, almost as natural as the corc version. Nice.

I can imagine a 39-41mm steel case, simple complication (dual time, date, annual calendar), 100m WR, 25k-30K price watch from A. Lange & Sohne. Steel bracelet and composite strap models, white and black dials - maybe even blue and salmon on some models. I... 

I wonder if this means the L021.1 movement meaning the watch will have a Lange 1 Daymatic dial layout??? Tweaked towards a sports design, lumed, etc?? If it was based on the Saxonia auto movement the power reserve would have been 72 hrs.

But, I would be realy thrilled to see a new manual movement here, like the ones found in the 1815 family. Is manual out of the question?

HYT can, De Bethune can, MB&F can, Urwerk can... but ALS can't because they must take the standard - conservative route... sure, it will be something new and non standard by ALS standards, but in the segment of steel sport watches we have at least 16 ... 

You can expect something new and not a fucking lazy steel issue.

There are only so many ways one can slice a steel sports watch on a bracelet if you are a traditional manufacture. I expect it’ll be unmistakably Lange, and that the chunky / fat / hockey puck cases many like to hate will actually work well for a sports w... 

My thoughts exactly. But still waiting to be "wowed" by this conservative brand.

From what I’ve heard this watch will be boutique exclusive and the first production run for existing clients only.

I should be more precise: i really do hope that this is not true.

For me, I’ll be selfish in hoping that it’s not a big case, but the reality is 40mm + is more likely I would think. Regardless everyone has to be happy that we may be seeing something new. That’s exciting.

and a big fan of the brand, I must say: enough hype. Not sure whose marketing idea this extended rollout is, but I fear it can lead at best to relief (that the watch is pretty good after all) and at worst to disappointment.

Don't expect to be able to walk in and buy this watch, it will only be sold to existing clients or with a large purchase as it's going to be a limited exclusive run. This is Lange's new strategy, and they are turning away new clients (those without an exi...

I've heard the same from several boutiques that I have relationships with, which happen to be in different countries. A limited run makes sense as a business strategy as they clearly don't want to only sell "steel" watches, and it's being viewed as a rewa...
