ALS 1 Time Zone Feedback

 By: maroufios : May 25th, 2019-09:40
I've been looking for a travel watch and recently discovered the ALS Time Zone. Must have seen it before but never paid attention to its functions. Selling at a nice discount on second hand market. Curious to know how comfortable it is on the wrist. I hav...

My wrist is a little bigger

But I find it to be extremely comfortable. Here it is with a nice, casual look ...

Very nice!

And i bet the pin buckle adds to the comfort. Do you wear it much?

Believe it or not...

The strap is from Hodinkee and perfectly integrates with the 18k white gold Lange folding buckle. It can easily be worn as an everyday watch, especially with this more casual look.

Nice combo! [nt]

you have to consider a few points.

 By: foversta : May 25th, 2019-10:21
The key issue for comfort is not the diameter but the ability of the watch to not move when on your wrist. Because even in WG, it is a heavy watch. I have a similar watch (the Grand Lange One Luminous in WG) in terms of weight, my wrist is 18,5cm... and I...

Thanks for the useful info on strap

I will have to find a smaller strap that wraps around comfortably. Yes the Pt is more prestigious but the luminous hands make much more sense on a travel watch

My take on it

you probably can pull of the size. But you need to consider the weight. Lange’s PT cases are quite heavy. So that might play a role in your decision. Overall, I like this watch quite a lot. Br, Dirk

In platinum. I don’t have very large wrist and it fits me great. Size is not the biggest issue, but it is a heavy watch. I personally really like the heft of it, but you should really try it before deciding. The white gold has lume, but the Pt doesn’t. I ...

I believe you should be able to carry it off with a 7-inch wrist.

I have a smaller wrist (6.25), but the watch sits comfortably. To be honest though, the best way is to try it on your wrist. Here's a wrist shot for reference: ...

Daylight Savings Issue

 By: the_real_muttley : October 25th, 2019-01:14
I had the platinum version and it was love at first sight. However, upon unboxing and setting the time, i realized that for half a year, the second time zone will be off due to daylight savings adjustments (I live in Asia). So despite my love for the watc...

Regarding fit

 By: Tim_M : October 25th, 2019-18:43
There *might* be a bunch of YouTube videos of a guy with a smaller wrist than yours demonstrating the fit of this watch in several metals... respecting the no-link rule. Best, Tim

FWIW, I have a 6.75 inch wrist and it wears fine.

So well, in fact, that I have both the Buenos Aires edition with the blued-steel hands and the earlier rose gold / dark grey dial (seen in an earlier post). The latter wears a bit smaller because of the darker dial, but the blue hands are more legible in ...
