Richard Lange Pour Le Metre as it was released in both platinum and rose gold in limited editions at the same time. A few years later to release the white gold and black dial (non enamel) seemed unfair.
With the triple split I think it was easier to predict future versions. This grail movement was going to see other metal options. I don’t mean to offend any triple split owners. I think other brands do this year after year. The smartest and fairest solution would be to release all case metals and dial options for limited editions the same year even if it would take a couple years to manufacture them. I think we as collectors have to expect a future iteration at some point before buying. Don’t get me wrong I agree with you. I think/hope the original white gold triple split owners are still happy and will do well if they choose to move on. It’s such a marvel.
