I wonder if Lange, a sister company to JLC, is using JLC’s ceramic ball bearings for the rotor.

Yes, two of my modern JLCs with ceramic ball bearings have pronounced rotor noise.

One is louder than the other due to a sapphire case back. I think JLC made a mistake here is using these noisy ceramic bearings. Noisy, rattling bearings do NOT speak to a precision mechanism, even if the end result is lower wear. Definitely not my prefer...
