I know that rectangular watches are still not "in style" but Lange really did a phenomenal job with their Cabaret line when in production. I always thought that the Cabaret was much nicer than the few Revero's that I've owned. Obviously enough of that mod...

Quite simply the...

It might be the one you like but

it’s nowhere close to being the best rectangular watch in history. That would be a Tank or a Reverso....or Rolex Prince

The tank from a sales perspective....

Is probably the best rectangular watch in history. The Cabaret is the most beautiful though!

Not just the most beautiful.

The quality and craftsmanship also exceeds the Tank, Reverso, and Prince by quite a wide margin. ...

Out of fashion watches are good - better value for real collectors as they leave "traders/flippers/speculators" out of the equation. I tried one in Tokyo many years ago, and it was indeed appealing (simple yellow gold). But I tend to see rectangular watch...

I always thought that the Cabaret Moonphase....

Would look great in white gold and/or platinum. I wish Lange would have done one with a silver dial like the Lange 1 MP.

The Apple watch is rectangular and likely the worlds biggest seller. Richard Mille watches are rectangular, tonneau, and the round pieces sell for much less.

Shaped watches have a long history and were very popular for decades. The Cartier tank is an all time classic and is still sold. The salient issue is that classic dress style watches are not in vogue but sporty Richard Mille or Apple watch are. Even the m...

I don't think the Reverso was a direct competitor to the Cabaret even though they are both rectangular...

I will say that the Cabaret is an exceptional watch and something that Lange could possibly bring back in the future with a couple of tweaks. I see dress/casual watches malijg a comeback so who knows 🤷‍♂️

Love the rectangular pieces by Lange

The Arkade is also pretty stunning, but from what I have read, was never a big hit for ALS
