I feel that a salmon dial paired with white metal (platinum preferably) lends itself to a sportier look, as opposed to a white face mounted in a yellow case which is a more formal presentation....matte brown alligator strap works with both.

Yesterday I enjoyed viewing this watch in the metal.
I was at the A Lange boutique in NYC and handled this watch in the black face/platinum case; enjoyably heavy in the 'P'. I will say that both views (face and back) are equally beautiful and mesmerizing. IMO A SHOW PIECE
