From a marketing perspective, I think Lange did a nice job creating interest throughout the year, celebrating the anniversary year. Hopefully we will see more of that with releases during the year without huge wait times. I was disappointed with the selling model, though. I was interested in either of the moonphase models, and inquired over a period time. The first series of conversations it was made clear that other than the initial, higher volume model the limited editions were only for repeat boutique customers. The person was very gracious, and implied over time that may change. I subsequently followed up when a second model was released, and was told a similar message, albeit they indicated if I bought a non-limited watch I could receive the limited model. When I balked at that, I was encouraged to leave a deposit for a future purchase to secure the LE. I really didn't like the sales approach and decided the boutique approach is not for me. Lange is one of my favorite brands and I find it disingenuous with all the marketing (and posts) that imply the LE watches are even available. Ultimately, I passed on getting a new Lange all together and went with another FPJ.
