As already alluded to, there is a wealth of options, if you’re not a slave to brand names...

and equally, not snobbish about someone else’s cast off (but hopefully well cared for).

On that basis, you should absolutely consider pre-owned, as that’s where you’ll often get the best value for pieces which typically depreciate from new quite significantly.
As a case in point, £18K gets you a Parmigiani Fleurier Toric Tourbillon, and not much more gets you a Chopard L.U.C. Lunar One Perpetual.

Go spend time looking through the various listings on Chrono24, even if only to see what you budget can get you, and shortlist other possible candidates you’re unaware of existing.

Some to look at, depending on case style and features would be, including the above two:
Urban Jurgensen 1741 and 1140
H Moser & Cie
Girard Perregaux 1945 Triple Bridge Tourbillon and Reserve de Marche Tourbillon
FP Journe (quite a few models, but look closely at the Havana model)
Bvlgari Octo Finissimo
Langematik Anniversary & 1815 200th Anniversary F.A. Lange
Glashutte Original PanoMaticLunar

Don’t be afraid to include 41mm in the filter, as some wear smaller and not all listings are wholly accurate in that regard, and some game the system with case material too.
It might even turn out that you can buy two pieces that you like the look of for what you were originally planning on spending on a brand new one.

but one that I think is amazing is the ALS1 Darth... amazing piece and can be worn both up and down... the Dato is amazing but personally find it a little overboard for a daily wearer, 1st gen sits high and 2nd gen wears large. I love both versions but fo...

Thanks for your response and suggestion

about my lifestyle needs, well I always have been a stainless steel guy and I was happy with my nautilus 5711 for almost 10 years but recently I'm starting to like it less because of the hype happening around it, it feels more like a fashion watch to me (...

There is the silvered white gold dial and a guilloche dial available, both are great and when you see the solid rode gold movement, I think it will be hard not to love it. Plus the quick change strap means you can easily change the look.

Saxonia Annual...

but the previous version, not the current one.

If it's in your budget and you can get one, the Rexhep that Alberti suggested would be my immediate pick.

The VC traditionelle and Journe Souverain are also great choices. For ALS, I would add the platinum Lange 1 moonphase. A couple of other German watches I'd recommend looking at would be a Lang & Heyne Friedrich III, and if you can stretch to 41mm a Mo...
