As a person who also does not like the unnecesarry text on the dial, this one was indeed necessary.

It is practically there to counter balance the day of the week indication at 9 o'clock. It bothered me when the watch first came out; but when I slept over it for some time, I understand that it is not for nothing. On legibility, I agree!
@amanico, if only that one did not have a rattrapante to shoot the price up above $200k!

1815 Annual Calendar

One of the best executed annual calendars on the market imo 1815 Annual Calendar Ref:238.032 ...

This is

such an excellent beauty. Refined dignified class It’s just one of those watches that’s been on my list for long time

Where do you waiting for Jurry?

Get that ALS. You have the same as i have with a Panerai Luminor Submersible. I must get it. But it is a fresh wishlist found. Longer on my list, and one of the first wishes i wanted badly. Longines Conquest. Soon it wil be in my hands and on my wrist. A ...

Reason

One day I’ll buy it but that might take a while. Reason is that we’ve started a project to built a special one off only watch. With some complications on it that are pretty rare. I can’t predict if we’ll be able to complete the project as there are severa...

There are a few issues, IMHO

Primarily, as it's a manual wind piece (I still don't understand the utility and desirability of perpetuals and annuals which are not automatics), winding it should be a pleasure. Instead, with its rather small crown coupled with the inordinate number of ...

For some reason, id rather buy the patek 5146 AC.

I dont know why because the 1815ac is much better in every aspect. I love the colors and the execution on this one.

And the Saxonia Annual Calendar...

...which I find much cleaner and easier to read. I've tried this one on, and the sub-dials are difficult to read for me, even with reading glasses. And do they really need to spell out 'Annual Calendar' on the face? We can debate manual vs automatic, but ...

Maybe put the days of the week there...

 By: mdg : July 5th, 2020-13:46
...yes, there would be two kinds of information in a single sub-dial, but Patek does it all the time and it looks great. But, of course, you didn't have the choice of a custom dial : )

And the outsize date

 By: Zeitstuck : July 5th, 2020-13:45
I am a sucker for Lange's outsize date. Though the 1815 execution is beautiful, the date window is so perfectly done by Lange that it is hard to pass it up for a watch like this without it

One of my favorite PC also. Maybe one day ! [nt]

This one doesn't give me enough of my much needed sleep.

Unfortunately, looks comical on my wrist... Enjoy thoroughly, my friend! A wonder of an ALS piece!

Thanks

I didn't buy this tho. Wound up going a different way. But snapped a nice pic so wanted to share with the community.
