Anyone change watch bands regularly? How do you not scratch?

The spring bar tools are metal and there’s not excess room there. I assume the watchmakers use a wooden one or something?

Anyone have any recommendations? Really should have quick release like Patek does

If you aren’t confident ask a good AD to do it for you. Alternatively invest in one of these tools and consider masking up the area first with tape. m.youtube.com

A watchmaker screwdriver and some scotch tape

Using a flat blade of whatever size necessary... maybe a 1mm or 1.2mm in certain circumstances to release the pin. If you are picky, apply some scotch tape underneath the lugs. When you are able to evacuate the pin from the hole, the pin will soon rest up...

Exercise care and go slow

I use a razor blade, a screwdriver, or a professional knife

No single tool will do every strap. PS - good eyes, good ears and good light help a lot, plus experience. ...
