Aah ok [nt]

I was so happy when my ad told me last week that he would order a piece for me, than a bit sad when most people said its gonna be Boutique only.

Now: very happy. I think its a great strategy also. You want to create as big a run on that piece as possible to recreate the magic of the 5711 and 15202. So you have to open the access to create that broad interest.

Another preview..

Decent water resistance. [nt]

Finishing seems to be at a low level?

 By: loccp-1 : October 23rd, 2019-05:19
1. Those sharp edges, interior / exterior angles seems disappeared in the photo. 2. Indicating that will not be a flash date/ weekday changing disc 3. If it’s a sport watch (indicates by the water resistance somehow), it can’t be a bontique only, it needs...

I think it only appears that way because it is a screenshot from an Instagram story video.

If you seen that video, it looks like typical Lange finishing to me?

Relatively compromised finishing would be a big disappointment and a departure from the Lange ethos.

But then again, Lange has been going in that direction (indirectly) with its recent full-rotor automatic movements as compared to its legendary micro-rotor movement.

Lol, this watch might be not what people expected but it is far from being a Code 11.59

By: Pour le Mérite : October 23rd, 2019-08:23
The Code 11.59 was not disastrous because of it's uninspiring desgin, it was disastrous because the marketing didn't match the watch by any means. The problem here is only with the people and their expectations. Yes, this watch is just a regular A. Lange ...

Wondering what that is in the upper left ...

The side of the case has an oddly ruffled appearance.

A reflection of the underside of the bracelet.

I presume that’s what you’re referring to.

Yes, this:

Looks like scales, but you’re right; probably just reflections rather than a fish theme (or at least I hope so!).

Here’s that photo

It seems to be Lange Day Date :-)

 By: Grisar : October 23rd, 2019-05:22
With - a screw down crown - two quick date adjustment pushers - a central rotor - a steel bracelet - an innovative buckle No other complications, no new case design highlights ... Let's call it water resistant Langematik Day Date Steel before it releases ...

Reading this thread I sense disappointment among the faithful

 By: cazalea : October 23rd, 2019-10:04
but as a never-owned-a-Lange person, I am quite interested and THAT might be what Lange is looking for -- NEW customers not necessarily more sales to the same folks. Cazalea

That’s a shame. Still, it’s the same for many of us with other brands…

 By: Boron : October 23rd, 2019-13:53
hence the phrase, “It’d be boring if we all liked exactly the same thing”.

Correct. It would be boring and the 5711A would have a "pre-owned" asking price of USD 300,000 😂🤣🤯 [nt]

I for sure would like to see a Lange that speaks to me emotionally. Maybe the new one will later today...

They’re total teases

All these little snippets they throw at us

Seems new kid in Zeitwerk family!

It is 10 Anniv for this line so possible!

Likely the same here...

I think it’s a bit more than just OK, it looks well to my eyes.

 By: Boron : October 24th, 2019-03:42
The day date layout, with typical Lange big date style, sub-dial seconds, and bracelet all add up to something that is different from the usual suspects, and is somewhat fairly identifiable as a Lange. Compared to say the Urban Jurgansen One, I believe th...
