IMHO why make it less perfect for non platinum. They should innovate and differentiate more for Platinum without compromising not Platinum

Totally agree! I don’t have a big date ALS but my black dial GO has big date in black and it makes a big difference

ALS relies so much on their Big Date, they need to make it stand out (or so they think). Better? Nope. More distinctive? You bet. Unfortunately lots of brands go this way. Look at the new 7 Series... the front is an insult to the eyes!

I like white background date ,but can deny wishes for monochromatic look of full black
