Fumbling around

 By: ant : July 26th, 2021-20:32
in my watch safe, and whadyaknow?,,, I 'found' my L&S 1815 Sax-O-Mat. I hadn't worn it for ages. How could i have been so unappreciative of such a classically beautiful watch? It makes me realise just how much i take these beauties for granted. I put that...

i 'knew' about it

but, far worse, had forgotten. It's embarrassing! ATB Antony

Do we file this under...

 By: mdg : July 26th, 2021-23:39 people's problems or first world problems? : ) Either way it's a heck of a watch...

Just old man's forgetful neglect! Kind regards Antony

But what's the alternative?

Some say..'a man is only as old as the woman he feels'.... maybe a solution? Tee-hee!! Kind regards Antony

True, true

A beauty rediscovered

 By: jpd : July 27th, 2021-00:26
Just this week I have rediscovered mine as well recently and put it on an olive nubuck strap for a slightly more casual look. Am not sure about production numbers but don't think they were in the thousands. It's an absolute marvel of a movement. Enjoy you...

Very nice combo!

A superb watch!

One of the best elegant watches around and quite honestly I was not aware of an 1815 with this movement.

I Concur

I do not think that many were made. The visual differences between the standard 1815 and this are minor. It's easy to miss if you were not looking out for it. Regards Antony

I Was Told

 By: ant : July 30th, 2021-09:03
that these older movements are more complex, with finer finishing details than their modern equivalents. Possibly an explanation of your observation? Regards Antony

Now we have
