Standard-production Zeitwerks (and Datographs, etc.) were never bundled, to the best of my knowledge.

I thought for a while you had to buy a smaller piece
Like a Lange 1 before you were allowed to buy a more complicated piece like a Zeitwerk. Maybe those rules were short lived.
I think that was a (totally understandable) widespread misunderstanding/rumor a few years ago.
It was very confusing! This describes Lange's then-new sales model in 2021, in detail. Many of us were conflating "pre-sale" pieces like the ZW and Datograph (which never required any prior purchase) with "application" pieces like the steel Odysseus Datom...

when i picked up my zeitwerk date last friday the boutique manager told me that the platinum limited edition models were already sold out. well done to get both!
