... Lange introduced honey gold. Lange's yellow gold, when new or recently polished, looks quite pale. It can develop a yellow-orange patina over time. The 3 buckles below are all yellow gold!

To add to the confusion, Lange's honey gold (at least the original HG alloy from 2010) becomes yellower over time. The watches and buckles below are all honey gold, but the pale ones are newer.

A Grand Platinum one and a normal size in YG. I will come back later about my visit at the Hausmann boutique. But what a pleasure to see these simple watches powered by the Sax-o-Mat movement... Fx...

Best wishes Alkiro

What was the reference number of the honey gold watch that you owned -- and do you have a photo, etc.?

Lange never made this watch in honey gold, so I am curious which one you owned. Could it have been the 1815 200th Anniversary watch?

I have not my computer with me but I found on the net some pictures of the Sax-O-Mat I owned and sold to a professional

Here they are. You will see that the gold used is more pale than the "classic" YG that is why we use the word "honey". Best wishes Alkiro ...

It would be interesting to know if Lange changed the composition of its yellow gold over the years. May be they add something in the past (or during the recent years) which could explain a difference?

Even after a polishing, it is strange to see a such difference of colour. I am really surprised as I own and owned several Lange :-/ Well, we learn new things everyday. Thank you. Best wishes Alkiro

A true, true Lange classic. I always loved the pt version of this.

Love the Langematik with big date...

... I'm wearing the rose gold black dial version today. I agree, Lange should use this movement more often in their time-only watches.
